Motion graphics for YR — product customisation pioneers — using the brand’s signature patterns and artworks.

What is motion graphics?

Motion graphics is a specific type of animation that focuses on adding movement to graphic design. It’s about making logos, typography and simple shapes move to convey a piece of information.

It’s not to be confused with the broader category of animation which can involve complex storylines, detailed illustrations and characters. Unlike traditional animation, motion graphics often focus on abstract or informational content — ideal for branding, marketing and digital platforms.

With the help of movement, illustrations are brought to life for Aniseed PR, supercharging the personality of the brand.

Why movement matters in branding?

Motion is an effective way of capturing attention and reinforcing your message. It adds energy and depth to your brand, playing a critical role in:

  • Standing out: moving graphics cut through the noise, especially on social media.
  • Enhancing engagement: movement draws the eye and encourages interaction.
  • Communicating efficiently: complex ideas become clearer through animation.
  • Strengthening brand identity: movement expresses your brand personality.
  • Emotional connection: motion helps evoke feelings and resonate with audiences.
Brand Purist created in-store animations for YR’s collaboration with SpongeBob following the exclusive Krusty Pants styleguide.

Brand-driven motion graphics

Motion is not just decoration — it’s a strategic extension of your brand. Movement should never feel random. It should reflect the same principles as your typography, colours and imagery. Every motion graphic we create is shaped by your brand identity and reinforces your visual language through:

  • Pacing: does your brand feel calm, dynamic or playful?
  • Transitions: the way elements move speaks volumes.
  • Artwork: we design everything in-house to keep it on-brand.
  • Audio: sound design, if needed, is selected to suit your brand.

Our motion graphics process

Motion graphics vary greatly in complexity but even the simplest animations require a clear understanding of your brand and your audience. While a short, straightforward piece won’t need labourious preparation, a longer infographics project will require a structured process:

  1. Research: understanding your goals, audience and brand identity.
  2. Concepting: moodboards, scripts or storyboards, depending on the scope.
  3. Design: creating static frames in your brand style.
  4. Animation: bringing designs to life with considered movement.
  5. Feedback and amends: collaboration and refinement through feedback rounds.
  6. Delivery: final files supplied in web-ready, high-resolution formats.

Motion graphics examples

Over the years, we’ve helped many businesses use motion graphics to grab the attention of customers.

YR Store: customisation fashion brand

Following a rebranding proejct run by Brand Purist, YR Store emerged as the global pioneer of live fashion customisation. The brand featured in Selfridges, Liberty, Macy’s, and in London’s Oxford Circus and New York’s 5th Avenue.

We crafted all of YR’s physical and digital touchpoints, including its apps and retail spaces. These have often taken advantage of motion graphics to enhance each experience or grab customers’ attention.

Shape Beyond: disruptor managment consultancy

We partnered with business transformation expert Helen Ashton (former ASOS CFO) to create a dynamic brand for her new company. The brand conveys the idea of nurturing and evolving organisations in an ever-changing world.

To enrich video content and boost social media marketing, we created a range of animations, enhancing the brand’s digital presence. These subtle animations were then incorporated into Shape Beyond’s website as well.
